Well, I'll probably still be seeing some of you and the class isn't officially over since we'll all still be working on papers, but I just thought I'd let everyone know that I enjoyed the class. Anyway, yeah, hope finals go well for everyone and that you have a wonderful summer.
From Nicole and moi since we are going to London in 16 days!!! We'll be thinking about you all as we cruse Piccadilly Square and all!
Class was fun and interesting, but now I am glad its all over! My old brain is weary of thinking so much!
Oooo I'm so jealous-- almost went to London a few years back but there weren't enough students-damn!
Hey, will you or Nicole get me an authentic Britt-Flag t-shirt? I've wanted one since way back in the punk/new-wave days of the "I Love the 80's"!!! I will totally give you some dough now or when you get back...PLEEEEAAASE!!!
Hey, Robyn...can I get your phone number in case I need to ask you any questions about that paperwork you gave me. You can send it to my regular email if you don't want to post it here at email@example.com
Good luck to everyone on their finals and I learned a ton this semester...my brain is too fried to say any more.
I hope Dr. Jamison leaves the livejournal up and active, there really is no need to pull the plug. Where are you going in Germany Katie? Holiday or school? That's exciting. Enjoy your adventure, and enjoy the summer everybody. Onward!
I am going to Kiel (on the Baltic Sea, about 1 1/2 hrs. away from Berlin by train). I'm doing an intensive language program so I will return with 8 credit hours of German credit. Yeah! (Yep, gonna be an intense 4 weeks).
Do you have any plans for the summer?
Intensive Spanish in Chile for 4 weeks, followed by intensive travelling in Peru for 3 weeks, which will involve 5 days of intensive backpacking through densely forested mountain ranges, and 1 day of intensive pagan ritualistic celebration on the winters solstice. Also with any luck I will participate with solidarity in some intensive pro-socialist demonstrations. It should prove to be... intense.
So as far as I know, the LJ stays forever. . . I suppose if no one posts for a really, really long time something might happen, but I think all this insight is now a long-term part of the web. So by all means check in!
Thanks for a fun class, y'all! I'm going to ask for some specific feedback soon but I don't want to bump the paper revision advice.
screw you all. screw you all very much. fine. go have adventures. I don't care. who would want to leave america anyway? It's the land of the free and the home of the brave. you'll all probably get molested or something. I'm going to go work on one of the THREE papers I still have to write. and them I'm going to sleep until school starts again. and them I'm never going to graduate. and I'm going to kill myself. and make leah kill her self, too. it'll be the "virgin" suicides (reprise!). (I'll let you guys decide what those quotation marks around virgin are supposed to mean).
Except really, have fun guys! Best wishes and all! 'Twas a Goode class.
Awww, Tara. Why ya gotta be like that? I'll send the positive vibes your way. Also, try subliminal messages. Tape record someone saying over and over again, "I am an extremely talented writer. I write the best papers in the world, and I write them quickly. Papers do not cause me stress." That usually does the trick. ;)
Well, I will be in my room in intensive pain for 1 week, followed by 2 weeks of intensive drinking, for a total of 0 credit hours.
So for anyone who will still be here this summer, I propose regular movie nights, bike rides, and a Sade Girls book club.
P.S. Eng 5720 is the only class I have ever enjoyed at 9:40 AM. It's been fun. Except for the day there were donuts and I couldn't eat them.
I just wanted to say that I will be here in two weeks taking more classes...yea? Participating in my own private Summer solstice ritual here http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/ph
